About this place
With plates circling past diners on a working conveyor belt, Heiroku Sushi retains the warm, nostalgic atmosphere of classic kaitenzushi. Guests can pluck whatever catches the eye straight from the moving belt or order specific items via the tabletop tablet, which arrive atop elevated carriers along the track. Fitted with both counter seats and booths, the space makes it easy to drop in solo for a quick handful of plates or settle down for a fuller meal.
The foundation of the menu rests on accessible variety, led by an extensive range of 130-yen plates. Selections include everyday staples like squid and cured sardine alongside inventive seared nigiri garnished with rich scallion-salt sauce or tartar, as well as regular favourites like quail egg natto gunkan. Drawing on the chain's Tohoku roots, the menu also showcases regional catches such as Sanriku sea squirt nigiri, lean bonito landed at Kesennuma, and a three-piece shellfish sampler combining steamed surf clam and whelk.
Between rounds of sushi, comforting sides like limited-quantity chawanmushi steamed in-house and fish-broth arajiru soup help ground the meal. Small bottles of sake from Miyagi, including Ichinokura and Urakasumi, allow diners to linger over side dishes with a relaxed drink. Because the restaurant operates continuously from lunch through evening, it works equally well for a late midday bite or an easy after-work drink.
